5 Fears That Cross Your Mind When Your Friends Start Settling Down

Fun Facts

Seeing your friends settle down is a lovely occasion for the most part. You see the people you love being happy. But if you think that you’re going to be the last one being single, you’re bound to have the following fears cross your mind.

1. Will I lose my friends?

Your friends start spending more time with their partners and you don’t see them as often. It’s natural to worry that you might lose them, but that doesn’t have to be the case. Just have a look at these tips on what to do in this situation.

2. What if I don’t like their partner?

When your friends decide to settle down with someone, you know they’ll be part of your life too, so you may feel the pressure to like them and be friends. If you find that your friend’s partner is not someone you’d be friends with otherwise, don’t worry. You don’t have to become besties with them, just be able to all spend time together as a group. Keep in mind this person is making your friend happy and that’s enough reason to like them.

3. Does this mean their partner knows my secrets too?

Probably. If they’ve decided to share their lives, they’re most likely sharing all their secrets. But since you are best friends it’s very likely that you know all of their partner’s secrets too. You just have to make a silent agreement to never acknowledge this fact and you should be ok.

4. What if I’m next?

If you’re having a good time being single and doing whatever you want you might start fearing that soon you’re going to lose that freedom and have to settle down as well. Just remember that when you are with the right person you don’t lose your freedom, you just get a partner is crime.

5. Should I be settling down too?

Seeing all your friends settle down when you’re single can make you wonder why you’re not doing the same. Maybe you haven’t found the right person, maybe you just don’t want to settle down yet. Either way, you shouldn’t feel pressured to do anything you don’t want to. It’s your life and you know best what will make you happy.
