5 Food Crazes Taking Over The Internet

Things to do

We all love food and as it turns out so does the internet. With people all over the world getting creative and sharing their creations online the internet has gone crazy over these foods recently. Of course, here at citysocializer, we always try to be in the know, so we can tell you all about all the fun things to do with your friends.

Unicorn Hot Chocolate

Everyone is going crazy for these. The secret is melting white chocolate in milk, adding some pastel food colouring in your cup and covering it in cream, sprinkles and marshmallows, until your  cup is overflowing with pretty much pure sugar. To make sure you get the full effect a clear cup is recommended and you can watch a quick tutorial by Noodlerella on how to make your own here.

Candy Floss Ice Cream

Milk Train Cafe in Covent Garden is serving ice cream cones surrounded by candy floss and covered in delicious toppings.  We recommend taking your photos quickly because things can get a bit messy when actually eating this monster of sweetness.

Bubblewrap Waffles

Newly opened in China Town, Bubblewrap is bringing Londoners sweet street food from China. Filled with ice cream, strawberries, oreos, caramel and even avocado and egg, this particular craze is only going to grow. Who even cares about crepes now these are in the picture?

Freak Shakes

While these ones have been around for a few months, the craze has not died out, with more restaurants and ice cream parlours adding them to their menus, like Waffle Paradise and Maxwell’s Bar and Grill in Covent Garden.

Cookie Dough Scoops

This craze has not reached our shores yet but it is definitely growing in NYC, with Cookie Do cafe serving scoops of cookie dough in cones and cups, covered in colourful toppings. We can’t wait until this one comes to London!

What other food crazes and trends have you heard of? Have you already tried these ones and if so which one is your favourite? Don’t forget, going to try new food with friends is always a great idea for a social.
