So you have just created your social. Well done!

You’re about to have a great time out with your fellow citysocializers.

We thought that now is a great time to give you our top tips on how to promote your social and use all the tools at your disposal to make sure your social is a great success.

1. Promote Your Social

If you want to promote your social to people who are not already in your network but might be interested in joining you, you can use the Promote Social button. This will send a friendly private message from your account to other citysocializer members inviting them to your event a few days before it happens.

2. Print the CS logo

Putting the citysocializer logo on the table always makes it easier for your guests to spot you at the venue. Especially if some people don’t immediately recognise you, the logo will help them make sure they have found group.

3. Message the group

For any extra information you need to give to your guests closer to the event you can use the Message button. This will send your message to everyone who has joined you and will make it nice and easy to communicate any last minute details or meetup information.

4. Download the guestlist

In case you have no signal on your phone or run out of battery, you can print off the list of your guests and bring it along to keep track of who you should still keep an eye out for.

5. Share on social media

You can share your event with your facebook, twitter and email contacts. Use this to let any friends who might not be on citysocializer yet know about your social.

6. Add to your calendar

A good tip to keep your schedule nice and tidy is to add your socials to your phone or email calendar. This way you will be able to see everything in your weekly schedule and you won’t forget about any events.

7. The Live Chat

This is the space for you and your guests to chat before the social. You can use it to build up the excitement before the social and get all the guests chatting, especially if they haven’t met each other before. It’s a great ice breaker.

8. Invite your network

What makes a great social even better is some good friends joining you. Use this function to invite all the people in your network so that they come to your social. They will get an invite notification and a lovely email, so make sure you also add a nice message for them to read.

Tip: If you don’t have that many people in your network go on the People Page and add some more!
