This February we teamed up with Yelp to declare our love for….. FOOD!
We know you citysocializers are foodies at heart so we decided to bring you some of the best food in London, all in one place and all for free.
The place was 93 Feet East, a great venue for gigs, parties and anything food related, as its spacious courtyard accommodated all the hungry attendees. We came in early, put up balloons and signs and made the place feel like a proper citysocializer party.
By the time the first guests arrived, got their hands stamped (in Rob’s case his forehead, because that’s what he asked for) and put their name tags on, the food vendors had set their stalls up and had started serving the food.
The queue for Chipotle got quite big quite fast, but after trying their burritos we understood why. Their reverse loyalty cards (get the first 3 meals free and pay for the 4th) that they also gave out to all the guests pretty much guarantees we will be making a few more trips to their stores soon.
The lovely girls from Les Deux Amies, with their sweet and savoury crepes definitely made it hard to pick which one we wanted, but at least we knew that any one we chose would be amazing. Our sources say people were very sad when the nutella ran out, but luckily for us the eggs and bacon were still good.
For all of us with a sweet tooth, Eat’N'Mess brought their smores to the rescue and made our hearts melt like the marshmallows on top of them. We want some more please!
We also got our dose of chocolate with Southeast Cakery‘s brownies, that were to die for!
Finally, Big Apple Hot Dogs made us wish we lived in New York so that all the hot dogs would be that great. Since the guys making the food were close to the stage, they got quite excited when the band started playing and held their lighters up. Wahoo!
Speaking of the band…. we had the chance to have The Curious Incident perform their latest original songs just for us.
Their new album, Penny Lonesome, came out in late January so we had the chance to hear all their new songs including their lead single Money. We will be going to to see their album launch as well so if you are around join us here.
As any other citysocializer event, there was a lot of chatting, laughing, and general fun and we took a lot of photos.
Look at those smiling faces!
That’s what happens when you see old friends…
…and make some new ones.
Here’s one of me and Sanchita, looking happy after another successful citysocializer event!
We are definitely looking forward to all the special events coming up.
Make sure you check the site for new socials and check out yelp to find all the best food places and leave your own reviews.
We will see you all next time!
